Celebrating Our Regions Next Career & Technical All Stars!

Career Launch Signing Day 2024

On May 20th we celebrated recent graduates who chose to complete a career in technical education. Career Launch Signing Day recognizes students entering careers in manufacturing, nursing, logistics, truck driving, and more. This year, the Adams County Career Guidance Team celebrated six students who are embarking on their career journeys in the vital fields of childcare, healthcare and transportation! This event, known as Career Launch Signing Day, was designed to celebrate these driven young individuals who have chosen to pursue in-demand regional careers and have now secured employment with local employers. This year, students entered into careers with Blessing Health Systems, Leeser Trucking, PACT for West Central Illinois and Quincy Medical Group.

During the event students took center stage to sign an empowering “work ready” pledge and received a special certificate from the Adams County Career Guidance Team. This successful event was made possible through the collaborative effort among the Adams County Career Guidance Team, GREDF, QAVTC, and John Wood Community College.

The event emulates National Signing Day and recognizes students entering the workforce who chose an in demand regional career, and are now being hired by a local employer.

At Career Launch Signing Day students newly hired, along with the companies they work for, will sign an empowering work ready pledge. Each newly hired student will also receive a special certificate from the Adams County Works (ACW) team and partners.
